a CHILD'S SOUL![]()
Merry Christmas!! I love this holiday season, people just seem to be so nice. This month we will share many stories filled with faith, memories, love and inspiration. I hope you enjoy this special posting with your friends and family LWC December readings are from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Weeks of Advent, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Holy Family. In our Parish we do not take the children from the main assembly during the Liturgy of the Word on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but I have included stories for those who may still need them. Ruth Gilmore uses all three of the methods to reflect on the Christmas readings - dialogue, objects and a simple story.I think you will enjoy her work. At this time I would like to thank and wish a very Merry Christmas to John Timmer, Ruth Gilmore, Charles Kirkpatrick (sermons4kids) and the folks at Zondervan and Augsburg Fortress Publishers for their help and guidance throughout the past year. These wonderful people are dedicated to bringing Christ to all children, through their time and talents, in fun and joyful ways. Thank you and bless you. VERY BRAVE SOUL Again, this year our Very Brave Soul(s) is St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and those who support and serve the brave children and their families. This section is dedicated to people who are brave, in their daily life, in sickness and health, in their faith, and in the pursuit of their dreams. Parent's Page Can you think of anything more precious than children at Christmas Time? This month I have filled this section with stories and links that I hope will save parents time when looking for things to share with their children, or to have the answer to Is St. Nicholas real? Or is Hanukah the Jewish Christmas? Or what's Kwanzaa? Also, I have added a list of my favorite Christmas books. Have fun, Merry Christmas. Our prayer is that parents will find this page to be fun, and useful as they strive to teach and re-enforce faith in their children's lives, and that those who volunteer in children's ministries find this page informative and helpful in their work, that you all will share your thoughts with us, and visit often. Our Programs Learn why and how we celebrate the Liturgy of the Word with the children of our parish. We are currently working on expanding and organizing our student aide ministry with LWC.
